The pipe cover come with a bottom unlike some other covers.The pipe cover arrived fine.The rough in for the water heater was not in the specified dimensions for the cover to fit without modification.I had to cut a hole in the bottom to accomdate the 3" drip leg of the gas service.I also cut another hole to accomodate the pressure release valve instead of elbowing the expansion release pipe to the manfacturer provided hole.THe problem was more with the plumber's installation of the water heater than the pipe cover.Click Here to see more reviews about: Rheem Tankless Water Heater RTG20037 Cosmetic Pipe Cover
